2008 Allen Taylor Club Contest

The Original!!!

Event 1 Taxi.

Taxi plane from starting point on runway through three cones and straight back to the starting point. This is a timed event with a five second penalty for each cone knocked over.

Event 2 Climb and Glide

You have 30 seconds to climb as high as you can, after 30 seconds shut off engine and glide as long as possible. Time starts when wheels leave ground and stop when wheels touch down. This is a timed event with points awarded based on flight duration. A ten point bonus is given for a spot landing within designated lines on runway.

Event 3 Bomb Drop

Club will furnish bombs and holder. Five points a bomb anywhere on the field, ten points for placement of bomb within designated lines on runway. Pilots with bomb drop mechanism on their planes must perform a loop or roll immediately before dropping bomb.

Event 4 Secret Event

This event will not be announced until the day of the contest. This will not be a difficult event but will be amusing and fun.

Event 5 Catapult Glider

Timed event with rubber band launched glider. Pilots may use any catapult glider as long as wingspan is 8 inches or less.

Note.... I am looking for new ideas for the secret event, if you have any suggestions, call or email me with your ideas.

You must use the same plane in all events except Event #5. If damage occurs to a plane during the contest, the pilot may continue with another plane with approval from the Contest Director.

No Borrowing Glider Planes. Must have your on.
