The Flying Griffins is an AMA chartered club.  AMA Charter #1155

The goal of the Flying Griffins club is to provide a forum for club members in the area to exchange ideas and benefit from one another's experiences with the hobby of building and the sport of flying radio controlled model aircraft.  We are committed to promoting the enjoyment of safe R/C flying in accordance with AMA R/C club rules and guidelines.

With approximately 50 members, the club is located in Williamson, GA.  This location provides the club with the opportunity to serve members from several counties (Spaulding, Fayette, Pike, Coweta, Lamar and Upson).  We welcome you to our club and invite new and prospective memmbers to attend the monthly meetings.  Everyone is always welcome to stop by the field to check out the action for themselves!

Safety

Be a safe, courteous, and responsible RC owner and operator.
Use common sense and follow all of the club rules and AMA rules.  If you witness someone violating established safety rules or just doing something that could cause them, spectators or property to get injured or damaged, please inform the violator and offer recommendations to ccorrect their actions.  Everyone is hurt when a careless action causes an accident.  Most modelers will react favorably and will comply with Safety Rules if the modler is given factual information.
